About this Election

Important Dates

  • October 10, 2022
    No later than this date, county elections officials shall begin mailing each registered voter a vote-by-mail ballot
  • October 10 through November 7, 2022
    Early Voting sites are open
  • October 10 through November 8, 2022
    By this date, all counties shall open ballot drop-off locations for vote-by-mail ballots

  • October 24, 2022
    Last day to register to vote for the general election. To check your voter registration status visit MyVoterStatus
  • October 25 through November 8, 2022
    Same Day Registration available. Voters can "conditionally" register and vote a provisional ballot during this time
  • October 29, 2022
    Counties that are part of the Voter's Choice Act will open Vote Centers
  • November 8, 2022
    Election Day: Polls shall be open throughout the state from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • November 8, 2022 8:00 p.m.
    Election Results Returns, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The county elections official shall conduct the semifinal official canvass of votes and report totals to the Secretary of State at least every two hours until completed
  • November 15, 2022
    Vote by Mail ballot deadline to be delivered by the United States Postal Service as long as the vote-by-mail ballot is postmarked on or before Election Day
  • December 8, 2022
    Last day for county elections officials to certify election results

Vote Centers

At vote centers, voters will have the freedom to cast a ballot in-person at any vote center in their county instead of being tied to a single polling location. Vote centers look and feel like polling places, but provide additional modern features to make voting easy and convenient. 

At any vote center in a participating county, a voter may:

  • Vote in-person
  • Drop off their ballot
  • Get a replacement ballot
  • Vote using an accessible voting machine
  • Get help and voting material in multiple languages
  • Register to vote or update their voter registration

Hours:

  • Saturday, November 5 through Monday, November 7: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 8: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Located at the corner of Campus Drive and West Peltason Drive, near the old bike repair shop.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots

Every registered voter in participating counties would be delivered a ballot 28 days before Election Day.

Voters will have three ways to return their ballot:

  1. Mail the ballot;
  2. Drop the ballot in a secure county ballot drop box; or
  3. Visit any vote center in the county.
